Police Officers Defense Coalition leadership visited Capitol Hill and met with legislators and their staff to discuss vital police legislation and the law enforcement caucus. Staff also followed up by e-mail with offices that cosponsored HR 233, the Qualified Immunity bill.

Vice President Bert Eyler met with staff from eight Congressional offices – Rep. Brad Finstad, Rep. Juan Ciscomani, Rep. Mike Bost, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, Rep. Jen Kiggans, Rep. Dale Strong, Rep. Mark Alford, and Rep. Don Bacon. We urged each office to cosponsor and support our law enforcement key legislative initiatives.  

In response to outreach, Rep. Nicole Malliotakes (R-NY), Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL), and Rep. Brad Finstad (R-MN) added their names as cosponsors of the Qualified Immunity legislation. Additionally, Rep Finstad signed the Law Enforcement Pledge.

Rep. Lloyd Smuckler (R-PA) and Rep.August Pfluger (R-TX) added their support to H.R. 743, the Protect and Serve Act.
