Police Officers Defense Coalition leadership visited Capitol Hill and met with legislators and their staff to discuss vital police legislation and the law enforcement caucus.

• Vice President Bert Eyler and two PODC staff met with a pro-life law enforcement Democratic staffer for Congressman Wiley Nickel (D-NC). We are grateful for his perfect voting record and his taking on illegal drugs, like fentanyl, from entering the US. Congressman Nickel recently met with law enforcement in his district and really listens to what they need to protect his constituents.

• The team also revisited Congressman Tony Gonzales’s (R-TX) office. Gonzales sits on the critical Commerce, State, and Justice Appropriations Subcommittee, which will provide critical grant fund to support law enforcement

Being pro-law enforcement is not a Democrat or Republican issue. It is common sense! If we want safe communities, we need to support our men and women in blue.
