Police Officers’ Defense Coalition (PODC) is proud to announce the overwhelming success of its endorsed candidates in the 2024 House and Senate elections, marking a significant shift toward policies that support law enforcement and public safety nationwide.
In the Senate races, PODC endorsed 33 candidates committed to strengthening law enforcement and community safety. Of these, 15 candidates secured victories, including notable wins by Dave McCormick in Pennsylvania and Jim Justice in West Virginia. While 17 endorsed candidates did not win their races, the Coalition commends all candidates, including Kari Lake, for their vigorous campaigns and the formidable effort they displayed throughout their races.
The House races demonstrated overwhelming support for PODC’s endorsed candidates. Out of 179 endorsements, an impressive 169 candidates won their elections. Only two candidates faced defeats, and the outcomes of the remaining races are still pending final results. This remarkable success rate underscores the electorate’s confidence in leaders who prioritize the safety and well-being of their communities.
As a result of this Election, both the House and the Senate have transitioned to a Republican majority. This shift signifies a renewed focus on legislation that supports law enforcement officers and enhances public safety measures across the country.
