[10/23/2024 HELENA, MT] – Police Officers’ Defense Coalition is proud to announce its endorsements of Tim Sheehy for U.S. Senate and Congressman Ryan Zinke for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. Both candidates have demonstrated unwavering support for law enforcement, public safety, and the men and women who serve to protect Montana’s communities.
Candidate Tim Sheehy, a decorated Navy SEAL, Aerial Firefighter, and entrepreneur, is running for U.S. Senate to represent the people of Montana. With a deep commitment to law and order, Sheehy has made supporting law enforcement a cornerstone of his campaign. His experiences as a warfighter have instilled in him a profound respect for those who risk their lives to protect others, and he pledges to ensure that Montana’s law enforcement officers have the resources and backing they need to keep communities safe.
Congressman Ryan Zinke, a former Navy SEAL and Montana’s current representative in the U.S. House, has a proven track record of championing law enforcement and public safety during his time in Congress. Zinke has consistently supported legislation that strengthens police forces, improves officer training, and ensures that officers are equipped to handle the challenges they face in today’s environment. As a former Secretary of the Interior, Zinke’s leadership in promoting security and order resonates deeply with law enforcement communities across Montana.
The Police Officers’ Defense Coalition Vice President Bert Eyler cited both Sheehy and Zinke’s backgrounds in military service and their strong commitment to law enforcement as key reasons for their endorsements. “Their continued advocacy for law and order, public safety, and resources for police officers are crucial. We need them serving our country on Capitol Hill come January, and we urge all Montana citizens to get out and vote for these pro-police candidates,” he said in a statement.
Montana’s law enforcement officers face unique challenges, and both Sheehy and Zinke have pledged to support policies that enhance their ability to serve and protect. With these endorsements, the Police Officers’ Defense Coalition underscores its confidence in Sheehy and Zinke as candidates who will prioritize law enforcement and safety in Montana and across the nation.
