Police Officers Defense Coalition Vice President Bert Eyler met with Senator Kennedy, Senator Grassley, Rep. Rudy Yakym, and Rep. Roger Williams staff on Capitol Hill this week.

In speaking with Senator Kennedy’s staff, we learned that Kennedy will be sponsoring HR-354. Senator Kennedy also had a 12 foot stuffed alligator in his office, which garners quite a bit of interest with visitors, his office said.

Mr. Eyler also met with staff from Rep. Rudy Yakym’s office. The staffer set us up to meet with Rep. Yakym himself, and he came out of a committee meeting to meet with me for about 10 mins to go over our Law Enforcement legislation. He said he would look at all the legislation and talk with his staff about signing the pledge.

In every meeting with the Congresspeople and their staff, we discussed upcoming law enforcement legislation and the the Representatives’ current scores on our Congressional Scorecard on voting for pro-law enforcement initiatives.
