H.R. 1046 Marc Fischer Memorial Act
H.R. 1046 Marc Fischer Memorial Act- A bill to require the Director of the Bureau of Prisons to develop and implement a strategy to interdict fentanyl and other synthetic drugs in the mail at Federal correctional facilities. This bill will require the BOP to develop a plan to transition to digital mail scanning, as digitizing mail has been shown to be an effective method for keeping this deadly drug away from inmates and protecting employees who are tasked with processing the mail.

H.R. 309 National Law Enforcement Officers Remembrance, Support and Community Outreach Act– During the first seven fiscal years beginning after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Interior shall award a grant to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund for the expenses associated with operating and enhancing the community outreach, public education, and officer safety and wellness programs of the National Law Enforcement Museum.

H.R. 2094 Homes for Every Local Protector, Educator, and Responder (HELPER) Act
H.R. 2094 – To amend the National Housing Act to establish a mortgage insurance program for first responders, and for other purposes. – This bill will give the men and women of law enforcement more opportunities to find homes they can afford on a public servant’s salary by creating a home loan benefits program for first responders and educators based on the popular and successful VA home loan program available to our nation’s veterans. The HELPER Act would eliminate the downpayment requirement and the monthly mortgage insurance premium for first-time homebuyers.

S.167 The Protect and Serve Act– A bill to amend title 18, United States Code, to punish criminal offenses targeting law enforcement officers, and for other purposes. This bill establishes a new criminal offense for knowingly assaulting a law enforcement officer and causing serious bodily injury (or attempting to do so) in circumstances that affect interstate commerce. It imposes criminal penalties—a prison term, a fine, or both—on a violator.

S.83 Thin Blue Line Act
S.83 Thin Blue Line Act– A bill to amend title 18, United States Code, to provide enhanced penalties for convicted murderers who kill or target America’s public safety officers. This legislation would provide that the murder of local or State prosecutors, law enforcement officers, or other public safety officers also be considered an “aggravating” factor in a Federal case.

S.679 LEOSA Reform Act
S.679 LEOSA Reform Act- The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) exempts qualified active and retired law enforcement officers from local and State prohibitions on the carriage of concealed firearms. This legislation amends existing law to ensure that officers can carry in the same venues as civilian concealed carry permit holders. It would also allow States to decide to extend the period between training certifications for qualified retired law enforcement officers from 12 months to 36 months.
